THOMAS LE BARBANCHON WINS THE IMPACT AWARD

Thomas Le Barbanchon

Thomas Le Barbanchon was awarded the 2022 Impact Award promoted by Bocconi University in order to provide visibility and recognition to individual research works of absolute and acknowledged excellence for his article “The Effectiveness of Hiring Credits”.

The Impact Award winner is selected by a Bocconi Alumni commission which this year included Alessandro Bogliolo, former CEO at Tiffany, Monica Mandelli, Managing Director at KKR, Barbara Cominelli, Country Manager Italia at JLL, Veronica Diquattro, Executive Vice President Southern Europe at DAZN and Alessandro Valenti, President Europe, Middle East & Africa North at Louis Vuitton.

“Thomas Le Barbanchon's article studies a very relevant and hugely impactful topic to the society: the paper focuses on unemployment - one of the key challenges of European mature economies - and demonstrates the effectiveness of very well designed, selective and targeted incentives on job creation. The study demonstrates a strong impact both on reach and significance: its value stands not only in proving the benefit of such measures but also in identifying the needed characteristics to implement it successfully, making it easier to assess it and replicate it over time and countries, therefore making the outcome of the analysis very actionable from a policy implementation perspective,” said the Dean for Research Jérôme Adda.
